Jim has had his work published in anthologies in the past and has been writing poetry since 1964, he is currently working on another Science Fiction novel following on from ‘The Great Divide’ in his ‘Cosmic Cell’ series as well as a book compilation of short rhyming stories for children entitled ‘The Magical Adventures of Young Bumble’ for which he is currently adding images to finish off the book which will hopefully be published later this year.

karen and I along with our hubbies had a fab night out at the Britain’s got Talent auditions at the Lowery theatre in Salford on Saturday.Look out for the French male dance group (similar to Diversity) I was very impressed with their dancing – and their fit bodies, though I’m not sure how or why men from France can appear on BRITAIN’S got Talent ? BUT i’M GLAD THEY DID – AND HEY THEY GET MY VOTE! Many of the acts we saw were superb and it was an excellent evening of entertainment enjoyed by us all and we recommend watching it when it come onto your small screen (TV) in April. PS: Jim really enjoyed the male west end show singer and also the pianist.

Urmston 2nd Phase

Hi,

Looks like the second phase of the Urmston Town Centre renewal is now under way so looking forward to more new shops to enjoy. Hopefully this will bring in new prospects for growth (even in this tough recession) but guess we’ll have to wait and see. I put forward a suggestion for the top of higher road to be pedestrianised to make it better for people to get around and to make that part of Urmston much more accessible and safer to walk round but nothing came of it though I still think its a good idea.

Do you have any ideas that you think would make Urmston a better place to live, work and shop?
